Email Protocol

email protocol

Email protocols are set of rules that help people to properly transmit information to or from the mail server. Email is an important part on students academic learning due to it being used as the way of communicating and receiving feedback from teachers during after class hours. As writers, we should use various things when emailing using appropriate forms of address when emailing a person and writer should attach names, page numbers and date. Email helps both students and teachers to do their roles more effectively. As a student, it is a great way to turn in class work, receive feedback from the teacher about assessments and can sometimes ask for help too. It is more respectful to use appropriate addresses when emailing such as Mr and Ms. When emailing to several people who know each other, it is okay to put their address in the TO field. Moreover, when sending to many people who don't know each other, as a writer, we have to put their address in the BCC field. Using the Bcc field means protecting the email address and not sharing them broadly. As a writer, we should include a subject line to give the reader an idea what is the email about. When emailing the writer, should attach date on the footer and header for topic in order for the receiver to recognize the sender. It is important to use the blind copy when sending an email to a group of people to protect their privacy. To keep emails secure, changing passwords regularly is a good method. As a writer it is a good way to use the 2 step verification to secure the email account.
